Water Level Monitoring System (WLMS) installed with sub systems such as a water level measuring instrument (WLMI) along with Intelligent Field Device (IFD) that shall communicate with the WLMI and transmit the water level data to a central server. User should be able to monitor the water level 24×7 on commonly used internet browsers. User should also be able to receive SMS alerts based on various thresholds viz. regular level, danger level, high flood level etc.
